Become a Monthly Donor
Become a monthly donor and join a community of supporters committed to sustained impact and provide ongoing, reliable support for our conservation work. Your monthly commitment helps us plan for and deliver long-term protection of lands and ecosystems.
Donate in memory or in honour
Commemorate milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, or other life events through conservation impact by making a gift in honour or in memory of someone special.
We will notify your loved one’s family with news of your gift. The amount of your donation will not be disclosed.
Give through a donor-advised fund (DAF)
A DAF is a simple tax-efficient, and flexible way to support the causes you care about. A DAF is a charitable giving account set up at a public foundation, known as a DAF provider. When you make a donation of cash, stocks, securities, or other assets to the DAF, you immediately receive a tax receipt from your DAF provider. Then, you can recommend grants to charities like NTBC.
To give to us through your DAF, search “‘The Nature Trust of British Columbia” in your DAF’s online portal or connect with your advisor for assistance. If you have any questions for NTBC about supporting us through your DAF, please contact us at donations@ntbc.com.
Donate Securities
Support conservation in a tax-efficient way by donating publicly traded securities. When you support us this way, you eliminate the capital gains tax that you would have paid if you’d sold the securities and donated the proceeds.
Securities can include stocks, mutual funds, and employee stock options. Your financial advisor can help you decide which investments make the most sense to donate. Contact us at donations@ntbc.com for more information.
Give US Dollars
Support conservation in British Columbia with a donation made in USD through our trusted cross-border giving partners. You’ll receive a US tax receipt.
Leave a Gift in Your Will
Include us in your estate plans and create a lasting conservation legacy for future generations. You can bequeath cash, securities, property, or even a percentage of your estate.

Donate Your Life Insurance
Name us as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy and create a meaningful long-term conservation impact. Contact us at donations@ntbc.com for more information.
Donate RRSPs or RRIFs
Name us as a beneficiary of your registered retirement assets and transform your retirement savings into a lasting conservation impact. You can name us as a beneficiary of all or just part of your RRSP or RRIF, and you’ll receive a tax receipt.

Give land
You can donate ecologically significant land to permanently protect important habitats. We’ll work with you to assess the conservation value of your property and help you explore potential eligibility under the federal Ecological Gifts Program (Ecogifts). If eligible, your capital gains tax may be eliminated altogether.

CanadaHelps charges a flat 4% fee on all donations, regardless of the amount.

Why are there fees?
Credit card transaction fees are a reality for all charities.
