Laura Holt

South Coast Field Operations Coordinator
Laura (she/her) was raised in North Vancouver, BC, where she spent her time outdoors in the beautiful North Shore mountains. She has a Bachelor of Environment from Simon Fraser University focusing environmental systems and physical geography. Laura is enthusiastic about nature and spends her free time outside hiking and looking for strange or fun plants and critters and learning about all forms of life. She enjoys interacting with everything from lichens and ferns to sea slugs and squirrels, and all kinds of flowering plants. Her passion for ecological restoration led her to start working at NTBC in 2023, where she started as a member of the South Coast Conservation Field Crew. She is grateful to get to work at the NTBC conservation areas throughout the South Coast region in her current position as the South Coast Field Operations Coordinator.

We gratefully acknowledge that our Vancouver office is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, who have been stewarding this land since time immemorial. Our work and conservation areas encompass many lands throughout the province, and we humbly acknowledge the First Nations communities who live on and steward these lands.
