Jessie Leonard

Science Communications & Social Media Assistant
I’m Jessie! Growing up, I have always loved animals (big thanks to Steve Irwin and Zaboomafoo) and have always imagined myself on the coast protecting their habitat. I moved to Vancouver Island from Calgary to attend the University of Victoria, where I completed my BSc in Geography and gained a new understanding in land protection! I am also a hobbyist wildlife photographer, so I am thrilled to be able to combine my love for science and creativity here at NTBC and share the beauty of BC’s land and wildlife to in a way everyone can relate to and understand.
